Born in Los Angeles Area, raised on the central coast, son of a traditional oil seascape painter. Grew up drawing everything, surfing and exploring outdoors on foot or bicycle.
Married, moved to LA, got restless wanting to finish college.
Schooled in Animation at BYU, then landed a job at Dreamworks surfacing things.
