I am a Software Developer and VFX Artist. I solve problems - technical and artistic - in order to create beautiful images. My current role is look-dev and shader development, but I am adept at picking up new software and API's in order to find the most efficient route, so I'm comfortable with trying out new tech and taking risks. I'm passionate about art, science, math and technology.
Day to day I write material scripts (shaders) to look-dev character assets and environments. This involves using both procedural patterning techniques as well as texture map painting. As a senior, the role includes troubleshooting and coming up unique solutions for various problems that arise when our studio experiments with new techniques.
I also develop and maintain core pipeline tools that make our job easier/faster. I have developed and redesigned some of our core technologies, writing plugins and scripts as and when needed.
