During my time at Dreamworks I have been fortunate to work on four shows.
Penguins of Madagascar was my first show, and I was tasked with facial rigging. The first challenge was rigging background characters with multiple heads and facial proportions that needed animation to transfer between them. After I got a better hold of the tools and rigging systems, I moved on to rig Private's face. As a technical animator at R&H, I got to experience Voodoo and write a lot of tools to streamline my workflow. I became very familiar with Parsley, Rhythm's proprietary scripting language, and learned the ins and outs of Voodoo. The technical animation team that I worked with at R&H were some of the most talented people I had the pleasure of knowing.

Working on Project X was an amazing experience, and I am happy to say that our film is done! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will get into Siggraph.
Being the lead rigger on Project X was a great challenge, and my first immersion as to how the industry would actually be. It was hard, we worked long hours, lost lots of sleep, learned more than we ever had before, and made a great short.
