With ten years of compositing experience, I currently love my work as a Product Specialist for Imagineer Systems; evangelizing mocha, an Academy Award Winning planar tracking software, to studios and artists across the world. Essentially, I am the West Coast office for mocha and excellent networker. I am known for my unique sense of humor and my highly attended demos. I am also a proud member of the Visual Effects Society.

I like to share and put myself out there. I think that is why I have gravitated to teaching artists about software techniques.

  • Product Specialist

    Imagineer Systems

    November 2010 - Present

    A mocha "evangelist" of sorts, solving shot and support issues, teaching Academy Award Winning mocha planar tracking software, troubleshooting, bug finding, tracking and clean-plating test footage, creating demo videos, and otherwise working with the Mocha software and Imagineer team and wearing different hats as necessary.

    Worked as a Depth Artist at Stereo D converting stereoscopic images from film on major motion pictures using a variety of proprietary techniques and old school rotoscoping to get realistic 3D images from 2D frames. Using Photoshop, Mocha, Mokey, and Aftereffects to create clean plates and stereo composites for deep 3D shots.

    Freelance art direction for the textures of main and incidental characters, vehicles, and props for an upcoming feature childrens' film. I was supplied with a rough color sketch and delivered back a fully rendered, painted character complete with detailed textures for 3D artists to work from. Included swatches as needed. Worked closely with the main art director to turn around characters quickly.

    Working with the art director to create matte paintings for childrens' CG, feature length animation. Created starfield domes, nebulae, planets, and other outer space sets for this Lego film.

    Created matte paintings for a tight deadline production and helped out on other projects as needed. Also Created some textures for sets, such as sky domes and rock faces. I worked in Adobe Photoshop and Bodypaint 3D (Cinema 4D), as well as in Mudbox, to get the desired results.

    Worked on a major motion picture for Nickelodeon called "Barnyard: The Original Party Animals". Responsible for Photoshop cleanup and comping of all marketing renders, including character press images, video game covers, posters, and billboards since the time of my employment at Omation. Also worked as a Paint Artist cleaning up renders for the movie in Combustion. Worked on some design, color keys, and matte paintings for the film as well. Credited as Photoshop Artist and Paint Artist.
