I established 4K Studios in downtown SF. We ingested content purchased by the company, and managed the variable bitrate compression with the goal of delivering the best streamed 4K experience on the market.
I designed a process I called "pre-compression mastering" in order to reduce film texture, and spend the compression bandwidth on detail. During our peak, we had the largest 4K library of films available to the public.
The company was a startup, and has since gone under.

I handled much of the busy work of pipeline maintenance including rendering, archiving, recovering, and generally maintaining a working 40TB multiple artist NAS. I also worked with motion capture, and assisted in trailer generation.
