Started in the 2D side of production, commercial art and company branding, moved over to 2D sprite creation for games. Then decided 3D looked fun and slid into modeling for games, which took me to 3D VFX work then back to games then to Art Directing. I've since run production departments, managed large teams, help streamline studios' pipelines to get the best product for the budgets available.
The last 5 years I have worked in the real world of stage show production while also fabricating props for film and stage.

Maison Rouge is home to a traveling stage show. The venue is a multi-storied building which hosts creative events. Working with the Creative Director or visiting artists, I come up with the build plans for their ideas. Stage props, lighting rigs, environmental structures to projection mapping, robotics, hologram set ups and the digital content all are things I had to create. Asked to produce a 30 - 15 second broadcast bumper for a new drink that sponsored a show last minute. With a turn around of 2 weeks from concept to delivery we decided mograph color blocks were the best approach. Focusing on the transitions to simple scenes, I animated the 2D color blobs swirling into shapes. I used 3D animation for refs when the character needed complex movements. Working with the Directors of the various TV commercials, we would create a schedule/pipeline for creating the assets and scenes. Most of the commercials shared assets and information screens, worked best to create a pool to share.
I also worked as lead artist, 3D and 2D, jumping from department as needed. There was always at least 3 commercials in active production with a sliding timeline.
