Bastiaan Koch is a film director, writer + designer. He is a member of Marauder Film + George Lucas’ famed production house; Industrial Light & Magic. Bastiaan is noted for his work on powered exoskeletons, robotics and his CG mecha design for Pacific Rim and the Transformers movie franchise.

His feature screenplay The 3rd Letter was nominated for Best Screenplay at the 2012 Beverly Hills Film Festival.

    Working at this post-procuction house I had the chance to work within a very tight and versatile team. I would approach every aspect within 3D from Modelling to final animation. On occasion we would be allocated our own commercials which we would take on individually from start to finish.
    I learnt a great deal in particular within HDRI lighting, organic animal modelling, fur dynamics and texturing. I had senior roles on commercials such as 'Asics Shoe Attack', world wide release and Live8: U2 Music Video.
