Lighting Artist (Remote in UK)

RISE is looking for freelance, mid-senior, UK based Lighting Artists to join us from as early as May until end of October!

Your tasks

• Creating lighting set up in a virtual scene, as well as technical recreation of lighting of the film set.
• Rendering shots and sequences with technical optimization of the scene.
• Creation of renders in consultation with the compositing department.
• Shot-specific reworking and optimization of shaders in consultation with the LookDev artists.

Ideally you will have

• 3+ years of experience in a professional VFX environment.
• Perfect eye for detail and realism.
• Good knowledge of lighting and shading for multi-pass output.
• Comfortable in working with EXR multi-channel files.
• Good knowledge of both traditional lighting and HDRI based lighting.
• Experience with Houdini.
• Familiarity with the USD and Solaris is a plus.
• Basic knowledge in one or more of these render engines in a plus: Mantra, Karma, Renderman.
• Basic knowledge of Nuke for creating slap compositions.

• On-site and Remote possible within the UK.
• UK citizenship or a pre-existing UK work permit required.
