Theory Studios is looking for a Lead CG Artist fluent in Unreal Engine and Blender/Maya/Max to join our remote team of storytellers, worldbuilders, and technical artists.


Full-time · Remote (U.S. Only) · $40–$50/hour (USD, based on experience)

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and reside in the United States


What You’ll Do:

  • Design and build environments, props, and visual effects in Unreal Engine, using Blender and other software.
  • Collaborate with directors, designers, and animators to shape the visual identity of each project.
  • Create efficient, high-quality assets optimized for real-time rendering.
  • Mentor junior artists and help maintain best practices across our real-time pipeline.
  • Explore new workflows and contribute to the evolution of our creative process.


What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years experience in interactive or real-time game art, and Unreal.
  • Expert-level skills in 3d Software. (modeling, shading, optimization).
  • Proven experience in Unreal Engine (lighting, Sequencer, materials, Blueprints).
  • Strong understanding of real-time performance, asset optimization, and art pipelines.
  • Eye for storytelling, composition, and color.
  • Self-driven with strong communication and collaboration skills.


Bonus:

  • Experience with animation and rigging workflows in Unreal.
  • Passion for stylized or emotionally resonant storytelling.
  • Experience working with CAD data.
  • Knowledge of Pixyz Software for optimization of CAD and other real-time assets is a plus.
