FX Artist (Remote ±2h CET)

DIGIC is bringing a stylized fantasy world to life in the upcoming Magic: The Gathering Netflix series — and we’re looking for a seasoned FX Artist to join the project.

We hire both Hungary-based employees and remote freelancers located within a 2-hour time difference from Budapest, provided you're a registered freelancer/business eligible to invoice under Hungarian tax law.

Responsibilities

What you'll do

• Design and create stylized FX in Houdini
• Simulate and render particle, fluid, and other dynamic systems
• Integrate FX into Maya/Nuke/Unreal workflows
• Collaborate with supervisors and production
• Take ownership of complex tasks (solo or with a small team)

Essential skills

What we're looking for

• 5+ years experience as an FX Artist
• Proficiency in Houdini
• Working knowledge of Unreal Engine, Maya, Arnold, and Nuke
• For freelancers: ability to invoice legally under Hungarian law
• Intermediate English communication skills
• Experience with stylized visuals is a big plus
