High-end NYC based VFX company, Phosphene, is seeking a Compositing Supervisor. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a team creatively as well as interfacing and trouble-shooting with the client. Must have exceptional Nuke compositing skills.

Responsibilities and Duties Include:

• Provide Nuke creative and technical support for one or more teams of artists.
• Assign artists tasks.
• Provide group or one-on-one artist feedback in reviews.
• Assist in quality control and tech checks to final shots.
• Provide look development and sequence setup.
• Provide efficient templates for artists.
• Problem-solve and trouble-shoot challenging shots and set-ups.
• Work collaboratively with Head of 2D, IT, coordinators and producers to set up pipeline/workflow.
• Assist producers with bidding.
• Oversee outsourcing markups and provide feedback for outsourcing vendors.
• Assist in methodology planning.
• Continue to provide the most creative and technically sophisticated work possible.
• Set a good example. Be punctual, and maintain respectful behavior toward other staff members and clients.

Qualifications Include:

• Expert knowledge of Nuke
• Experience in feature film and long-form television
• Strong technical capabilities
• Excellent artistic and compositing skills
• Ability to communicate technical thoughts and ideas
• Close attention to detail
• Excellent attitude/team player
• Strong problem-solving skills
