Work History
  • November 2009 - Present

    Freelance web developer

    Sharpshooter Digital

I freelance for digital agencies, and also build websites, web apps and generally exciting internet things for companies large and small.
  • August 2004 - October 2009

    Senior web developer

    Proctor & Stevenson

Marketing websites and email campaigns for some big UK brands.

Planned, costed and built web sites, web apps, intranets and email campaigns.

Did lots of ASP.NET work, then introduced them to open source and Drupal.
  • January 2003 - April 2004

    Lead Programmer

    SIBAC Corporation

    Web start-up; now defunct.

Did lots and lots of web 3D. Built a 3D site for Mel C (of Spice Girls fame) which had a live video stream of one of her concerts.
  • July 2002 - December 2002

    Web developer

    Sanctuary Records Group

Built a few crazy sites in Flash that *really* should have been HTML.

Still, got to play with things like Flash Generator.
  • August 1999 - July 2002

    Senior Interactive Developer

AMX Studios, AMX Network, Arnold Interactive

Built websites for some of the UK's biggest brands, including HP, Intel, BT, Barclays, Fox kids and Fosters. Oh, and Lea & Perrins.

Lots of Flash, bespoke CMSs, dynamic HTML (ah, those were the days) and wishing Netscape 4 would go away.

The agency kept being renamed and rebranded. I joined when it was called AMX Studios, and left when it was Arnold Interactive.

The office on Carnaby Street was probably the best.
