Zerply is closing on September 28

After 16 years, we're closing Zerply. The site will stop working on Monday, September 28, 2026 at 16:00 UTC.

We ran out of time and resources to make it work. That's the whole story. We're sad to end it this way.

There are two things to do before the 28th.

1. Export your profile and your work

Go here and request an export. You can choose whether to include your uploaded media assets. We'll email you a download link when it's ready.

Please request your export by September 21. We're processing these manually and can't guarantee we'll get to requests made after that date.

You can also download individual media assets directly from your Shot Library at any time before the 28th.

2. Choose where your Zerply URL points

We know a lot of you have your Zerply profile URL on your CV, in your email signature, and linked from your work. We don't want those links to break.

Go here and pick where you'd like your Zerply URL to send people — LinkedIn, IMDb, Framerate, or Vimeo. We'll keep those redirects running for at least a year after the shutdown.

You need to set this before September 28, while you can still log in. After that we can't make changes.

What happens on September 28

Zerply stops working. zerply.com becomes a static page, and profile URLs will redirect to whatever you've chosen. Logins, uploads, messages, and search all stop.

We'll delete user data from our systems and our providers' systems within 90 days of the shutdown. If you have questions about your data before or after that, write to hello@zerply.com — we'll keep it monitored.

We've turned off new signups and cancelled recurring billing, so nobody will be charged again.

From day one, the mission of Zerply has been to celebrate the creative process and promote the extraordinary humans behind it. For the last 12 years, that meant high-end VFX and animation. Tens of thousands of you put your work here and trusted us with it, and a lot of you found jobs, collaborators, and each other through it. That was the whole point, and we're glad it happened.
