I've been working in the IT field for almost 15 years. I've covered the entire life-cycle of web applications, from client briefing to QA and post-delivery phases. Thanks to the work done in these recent years I've spent a good amount of time learning and applying team and project management processes, as well as testing and automation procedures.
Work History
  • May 2015 - Present

    Front-End Development Lead

    Sainsbury's Entertainment

While mostly working within Sainsbury’s Entertainment on Demand [SEoD], I’ve taken part of the massively rapid up-scaling of the development team, from 25 devs, up to the current 300+ positions across all disciplines. While acting as a technical lead for the customer and administrative site for SEoD, I’ve also line managed 6 front-end developers, while interacting with many other teams in different parts of the business.
Most of the work done has revolved around strengthening and introducing new strategies, methodologies and standards for front end development. I’ve mentored and empowered the front-end team individuals, making sure they would be able to take the most from their position, while sharing their knowledge and taking solid decisions.
I’ve taken part of various other projects, both regarding testing automation as a technical lead for the SEoD e2e test automation project and as a consultant for several web applications, while taking SEoD to a better standard level.

    Lead Web Developer

    Steel London

Hired as a lead developer, I’ve been managing a 4 developers team, mentoring them and setting up most of the standards and common ways to work in the team and across-department. The position entailed both project management skills, development and system administration, maintaining existing websites, planning and risk analysis of brand new or prospect campaigns and websites. Successfully covered the Christmas campaign website for Debenhams (https://foundit.co.uk) made with Yii 2, a PHP framework and AngularJS. The project had also been hosted and heavily tested through OpsWorks, a multi tier stack automation system of AWS.
Due to the ever evolving internal structure of the company, which was massively changing since I joined, one of the most interesting aspects of the position was to be able to always rapidly adapt to the new challenges and changes, while managing and assessing new work and potential architectural problems.
