Focusing on goal driven development, helped a lot of people achieve a lot of goals and increase sales/conversions through focused online strategies that handled situations based on user expectations and senario management. I would work directly with designers and clients, tweaking designs to get the most out of the user experience, setting up those designs with a Ruby on Rails back end.

Goat Style Bike Festival

Goat Style Bike Festival was a Red Bull Sponsored silver event in the Freestyle Mountain Biking World Tour. I built two web applications that shared a common database of rider info. The two applications handled the rider registration and computed who the winners were based on the scores inputed by the judges. In 2011 Goat Style was purchased by Silver Star Alpine Resort and the registration and judging systems were a consideration in the final price.

Doug is an incredible guy, deeply involved in his community. He started off knowing very little about social media but knew he should be using it because that is what all the big politicians were doing. We thought this was the wrong way to go about it. So I made him and the 4 members of his "Core Social Media Team" go through a 30 day social media forced reboot that was mostly automated using a Ruby on Rails application. Now Doug is using Social Media because he understands it and wants to.

Started off by helping him and his team to better understand all the tools available to them on the internet. Then consulted his team on how to use those tools effectively in a heated 30 day political campaign that relied heavily on automating those tools using a Ruby on Rails application and a couple temporary Ruby Sinatra mico sites. After David was elected Member of Parliament I worked directly with him and his team to produce an all encompassing online brand and social media strategy.
