Primary role is to monitor and maintain the infrastructure for all .cloud products ensuring any issues are quickly identified and resolved either within the team or advancing to senior engineers. The infrastructure is mainly mail towers running Linux Red Hat, Linux CentOS and a few Windows Servers.

Primary role was to make configuration changes to customer devices and cloud services. A change request would be raised by the online portal and sent directly to my team to make the changes.

Devices that I made changes on were Juniper NetScreen & SSG firewalls, Juniper SSL VPN, Cisco routers, Zyxel routers, Domains, DNS & Symantec.cloud services. I also made some changes to the MPLS routing such as core routers/switches and ensuring correct vlans were being utilised.

1st line support team taking phone calls from customers who were experiencing issues with services provided by Star. This included troubleshooting mail issues, DSL broadband issues, security related issues with firewalls including VPN tunnels and also domain and DNS queries. Once 1st line was completed, used the appropriate OLA to escalate to senior engineers should the issue not be resolved.

General warehouse work which included taking stock to customers vehicles, look into faults related to TVs and PCs/laptops. Assisted customers who came into store with faulty items where I would either contact the manufacturer to book an engineer or would swap for a new product.
