I built Bartas Technologies from the ground up as an independent software developer. The list of titles grew to a collection of well-known and award-winning applications and plug-ins. I designed and maintain the web site, all icons, artwork, and marketing material, authored all user documentation, and directly support the end users of the software. I was originally hired to build SPICE – a Mac OS X bioinformatics data mining and visualization application for the Vaccine Research Center. I later took on the additional role of usability analyst and user interface designer for additional projects and acted as mentor to an intern seeking to learn Cocoa development. Experienced many platforms (various MS Windows flavors, several Unix flavors, several Linux flavors, Mac OS X / OS X Server, etc.).
