I'm currently based in Brighton working for Clearleft, a website user-experience consultancy. I write code and consult for clients like the BBC, Channel 4, and NBC, working out how to turn the beautiful user experiences the team creates into accessible, maintainable, high-performance websites.

I was the Development Lead for the Multimap.com and Bing Maps websites in the UK, managing a team of engineers in the development of Microsoft's high traffic consumer mapping sites. Combined we worked on code that was used by over 30 million users a month.

I did some work on the JavaScript mapping API at Microsoft as well, but explicitly take no credit for its 'quality'.

As Web Development Lead at Multimap I managed a team of engineers delivering highly complex and interactive standards-based web interfaces for many Multimap and Microsoft clients. The team was responsible for the front-end components of Multimap's core products, including the JavaScript API, and the high traffic Multimap.com website (10 million users).

Over two years I grew the front-end team at Multimap from a one man team of myself to 12 engineers in offices across London, Istanbul and Sydney with the ability to deliver large complex web applications

Working with London Soloists Chamber Orchestra, Guildford Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra, English Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonie der Nationen, Tenerife Orchestra. Sessions for BBC Radio & Televsion, ITV, Channel 4, Film 4, Polygram Film, Naxos, Sony, Collins, and RTP Radio & Television. Live TV broadcasts include the BBC Proms at the Albert Hall, and concerts at the Berliner Philharmoniker, and Konzerthaus in Vienna.
