Journalist-in-Training / Budding Social Revolutionary
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Facilitating social justice, leveraging new media, writing creatively and promoting environmental awareness and compliance.
These are just some of the interests I have held closest at heart as I complete my Bachelor of Journalism degree at Taylor's Lakeside, Subang Jaya.
Media Relations Executive
As the Media Relations Executive at FatHopes Energy – a local renewable biofuel producer and Malaysia's first biofuel equipment supplier – I produce press material for the company's latest developments.
Most recently, I served as the editor of the inaugural newsletter – an 8-page document in tabloid format, aimed to provide public information on the company's areas of business and current achievements.
The paper, titled 'The Fat Express,' was circulated publicly at this year's Int'l Greentech & Eco Products Exhibition & Conference Malaysia (IGEM 2011).
Malaysian COP15 Delegation
Media Relations Manager
I was enlisted to provide media relations for the members of Malaysia's delegation to the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP15). I was delighted to have the opportunity to work with the delegation, which included local folk musician Zainal Abidin and Nobel-nominated poet and lawyer Cecil Rajendra.
From my expertise, we were able to produce a press release that got picked up by the nationally-circulated newspaper The Star, providing media visibility which led to the securing of invaluable sponsorship for the delegation.

A rather comprehensive Journalism Degree Program, taking a lot of practical and theoretical aspects into consideration.
I chose to specialize in Public Relations and Creative Writing as my two requisite areas of Major study.
